Kasargod: Distressed grand-daughter set herself ablaze

Kasaragod Dec 8, 2015: A distressed girl set herself ablaze an hour after grandfather’s death. The incident took place at Cheruvathur in Kerala on December 7, Monday.
The deceased is identified as Reshma(22). She was a Computer Engineering Student. Her Grandfather PK Kannan (75) was admitted to a Hospital due to severe chest pain on previous day night. Unfortunately he breathed his last on December 7, Monday in the morning. She loved her Grandfather very much.
Reshma who was very fond of her grandfather was unable to bear this loss. She was depressed over grandfather’s death, poured kerosene onto her and set herself ablaze. She was rushed to the Hospital immediately but their effort to save Reshma was in vain.
Her body was taken to Pariyaram Medical College for post mortem.
The Chandera Police are investigating the case

Very sad about the family.The grandfather was old and It is nature and we have to accept it. The girl was a Emotional Fool but her Love towards the elder must be respected but not her sacrifice.
Being a Computer Engineering student how can she be so foolish. The grandfather’s was the Natural death and Its our duty to carry on the Legacy to our Younger ones . She shouldn’t have done so.
A heart breaking incident and true love towards grandfather. We are sorry for the girl for taking such an extreme step, she had to think of her parents. Let the family get courage and strength to over com this tragedy.
The grand daughter’s love towards her grand father made her sacrifice her life for him.the family has to suffer the pain of two members. How sad?
