President of Tulu Drama Artists Union Achchutha Kallapu was the chief guest of the occasion. Appreciating Chinna and his works, Kallapu said that Chinna was a man with a difference. P A M Rashid, the Malayalam film actor, was also the chief guest of the event. He said that Chinna has successfully expressed social situations to his readers.

Kasargod Chinna, who had translated 3 different plays, said that he could write in three languages because he was born on the Karnataka-Kerala border. Admitting that he could not read Malayalam, he said that a friend read and explained the story and thereby helped him complete his translation. He informed that Bharat Raj Baikady designed the cover pages of all three books and that Amrita Someshwar wrote the editorial for his book.

“Samhara,” written in Kannada, was released by artiste and theatre director N Damodar Shetty. “Aylore Aylo,” written in Konkani, was released by Charan Kumar, the award winning music director. “Kaas Patherundu,” written in Tulu, was released by Vijaya Kumar Kodialbail, the theatre director.
