Kasargod : Accidental fall into a red stone quarry claims life of a labourer

Kasargod  July 31, 2016 :  The accidental fall of labourer  into red stone quarry claims his life at in Lenkinadka in Kasargod on Saturday in the evening .  The incident came to light   on July 31, Sunday.

The deceased person is identified as Everest Rodriges. He was 49 years, resident of Lenkinadaka . . Everest was working as bus conductor but recently working for as a labourer.  He  is survived by wife Anitha, four children- Anush , Ancilla, Anisha  and Ashell.

The woman who was passing by the path noticed a body and informed the locals who immediately  inormed the matter to the police.  The  Kumble police visited the spot and lifted the body from the quarry.

It is suspected that Everest might have slipped and fallen into the quarry on Saturday night on his way back home. The incident had not come to the notice of family members as his wife had been to Mangaluru and children  to relative’s place.

The body was sent to autopsy.

Investigation is going on in Kumble police station.
