Kasargod, Dec 26, 2016: A tragic road mishap reported from Trikkannad in Bekal on December 26, Monday morning, has claimed the lives of two persons while critically injuring a boy.
The accident occurred when the scooter in which the three were travelling rammed against an electric pole.
It is learnt the mishap occurred when the scooterist lost control over the vehicle. The deceased are Shanmukham (55 from Kotikula and Shivakumar (48). Both are relatives. Shanmukham’s son Babu (14) sustained critical injuries in the accident and has been hospitalised. The three of them were returning home after participating in the annual fair of a temple in Bekal.
Bekal Police have registered a case.
