Mulki, Mar 29, 2016: Leading private sector bank Karnataka Bank has opened a new branch at Mulki on March 28, Monday. This is the 725th branch of the Bank in India and 450th in Karnataka.
Speaking on the occasion, P Jayaram Bhat, Managing Director and CEO of the Bank, said the Bank targets to increase its total branch network to 1000 during the coming financial year and also plans to introduce various new facilities.
The 1,275th ATM Kiosk of the Bank which has been opened at Mulki was inaugurated on this occasion by Harikrishna Punaroor, former president of Kannada Sahitya Parishat and owner of the building.
Mahabaleshwar Bhat, Chief General Manager, who spoke on the occasion, said the total business of the Bank has touched Rs 83,000 crores from Rs 32,200 crores in the last six and a half years of the tenure of Jayaram Bhat.
The new Branch was earlier inaugurated by Dugganna Savanth, Hereditary Trustee of Sri Durga Parameshwari Temple, Bappanadu.
Raghuram, General Manager, Srinivas Deshpande, Chief Manager of the Public Relations Division of the Bank’s Head Office, MH Aravind Poonja, Managing Trustee of Harihara Temple, Karnad, Narayan Shenoy, Trustee of Mulki Venkatramana Temple, Fr Francis Xavier Gomes, Parish Priest of Mulki Church, Manjunath, Mulki Branch Manager of the Bank and many others were present.
