Mangaluru, Mar 21, 2015: Karnataka Bank MD and CEO P Jayaram Bhat said the bank would have more than 20 e-lobbies in the next financial year across India. He was speaking after inaugurating e-lobby 24x7 centre which provides essential banking facilities such as ATM, cash deposits, cheque deposits and passbook printer, at Kodialbail, Mangaluru on March 20.

He went to say, the bank has already opened three e-lobbies in Bengaluru. The number of Karnataka Bank ATMs would reach 1,000 by March 31. Passbook printers, a facilities of e-lobby will be provided in other branches too. The bank has started using ’Face Book’ and ’Twitter’ to display its products and it could be used for transactions as well in the near future.  The bank been consistent with its vision statement. It is technology savvy, customer centric, national presence, progressive, corporate governance and sound ethical value.

The number of branches has been increased to 675 and transaction is more than Rs 75,000 crore. The response of customers is quite impressive to the Alternative Delivery Channels. Out of 8.55 lakh transactions per day, the ratio of manual and ADC is 67:33 at present. The growth of ADC is good, he said.

Chief General Manager M S Mahabaleshwara Bhat said that Karnataka Bank has opened 75 branched in the year 2014-15, which is a record. Launching of e-lobby service, has made the bank and its products simple and accessible. It is proved that it is a banking leader and user of modern technology.A leading customer of the Karnataka Bank since 1964, Manipal University former vice chancellor B M Hegde said that it is a family bank and suggested to start a ’customer day’.
