Karkala : Mother-son from Tirthahalli die in Omni-Innova collision

Moodbidri, Apr 09, 2018: A mother and a son who were travelling in a Maruti Omni  lost their lives  when their vehicle collided head-on with an Innova at Nellikaru in Karkala taluk on April 9, Monday morning. Seven others who were in the vehicle sustained injuries in the mishap.

The deceased are Somashekhar (45) and his mother Ratnamma (70) from Tirthahalli. They were on way to Dharmasthala from Tirthahalli when tragedy struck at around 7 am. There were a total of nine persons in the Maruti Omni.

The passengers in the Innova too have sustained injuries. All the injured have been admitted to the Manipal Hospital.

Moodbidri police have registered  a case.
