Karkala, Jan 26, 2019 : A weekend picnic turned tragic for a group of friends as one drown in Kaje waterfall, Karkala on January 26, Saturday.
The deceased is identified as Rajesh(40) resident of Mannagudda in Mangaluru.
Sources said that Rajesh along with his friends been on a weekend outing to Kaje waterfall. Not able to gauge the depth of the water, Rajesh who got in drowned. Hearing his screams, his friends rushed to help, but were unable to save him. It is suspected that he was pulled in the by the strong current of the water.
With the help of Karkala police and fire personnel his body was fished out. Case has been registered.
