Karkala: Cashew Industrialist dies in Car collision

Karkala Oct 27, 2016: Man died after his Nano car rammed into Fiat car which was coming from opposite direction at Nallur Gandhinagar on October 26, Wednesday . Deceased have been identified as Madhava Prabhu (45) resident of Kabettu, he was a cashew industrialist.

It is said that, Prabhu was on his way to cashew factory in his Nano car when a fiat car from opposite direction rammed into his car. Both the car was badly mangled due to the impact of the collision. Madhava Prabhu suffered serious injuries and was rushed to the hospital and breathed his last.

The driver of the Fiat car, Krishna Raj from Dharmastala who has been accused of over speeding and reckless driving, too was injured in the accident. He was admitted to Hospital, case stands against him in the rural Police station.

Locals alleged that the unscientific construction of drainage under Bajegoli- Hosmar road has made this spot an accident zone. After the construction of this drainage many accidents have taken place here and many lives have lost, local said.
