Karavali Ale employee attacked by Hindu activists at Kulai

Mangalore, Feb 7, 2013  : Harish Putran, an employee  of Mangalore based eveninger Karavali Ale was allegedly attacked a gang of assailants belonging to the Hindu Jagarana Vedike on February 6, Wednesday at around 8.30 pm.

Putran who was left with serious  injuries on his head, hands and legs, has been admitted to the  Padmavathi Hospital in Suratkal.

In a complaint lodged with Suratkal police, Putran, has alleged that a gang of about 10 members  attacked him while he was on way  home from office at Kulai. Putran was walking towards the nearby bus stand to board a bus towards Mulky when he was intercepted and beaten up.

 It is suspected that a report that appeared in the eveninger on February 6, Wednesday stating that  one Keshava,  an accused in drugs peddling case,  was  close to Hindu Jagarana Vedike leader Satyajit Suratkal, had led to the attack.

The injured Harish is said to be recovering at the hospital.
