Kannada Rajyotsava celebrations at K S Hegde Hospital

Mangaluru, Nov 01, 2017: At K S Hegde Hospital, Deralaktte, Mangaluru, Kannada rajyotsava was celebrated with great enthusiasm. Dr Shivakumar Hiremath, Medical Superintendent, K S Hegde Hospital, unfurling the Kannada flag said “Kannada is one of the richest languages of the world and is included in the top 30 languages. Let us live the language by using it in our daily lives”.

Dr Ananda Bangera, Professor and Head of the Department of Anaesthesiology and Critical Care, welcomed the gathering with brief introduction on formation of Karnataka state under the guidance of Alur Venkatarao Committee and renaming as it stands now.

He highlighted the difference between ‘ganarajyostsava and navarajyotsava’. Dr Sathish Rao, Professor and Head of the Department of Psychiatry, proposed vote of thanks. Dr Sumalatha Shetty, Coordinator for NSS, Nitte University and Professor of Anaesthesiology and Critical Care, was the master of ceremony.
