Kalladka row : Congress leaders rally behind Minister Ramanatha Rai

Mangaluru,June 21,2017 : Several Congress leaders in the district including District Women’s Congress President Shalet Pinto, Mayor Kavitha Sanil, ZP Member Mamatha Gatti, Corporators Pratibha Kulai, Nagaveni, Appi and others have rallied behind DK District in-charge Minister B Ramanatha Rai who recently reportedly instructed SP to arrest Kalladka Prabhaker Bhat in connection with the recent Kalladka incident .

ramanatha rai Addressing a press meet on June 20, Tuesday, Shalet Pinto said the BJP leaders were creating unnecessary issues out of nothing just to create chaos in the wake of the assembly elections which will be held early next year.

Fully backing Rai, Shalet also challenged Udupi-Chikkamagaluru MP Shobha Karandlaje to contest against Rai in the next elections and win instead of merely hurling allegations.

The DK Congress Backward Classes Cell President Dharanendra Kumar also pledged solidarity with Rai. ZP member Chandraprakash Shetty too spoke to reporters and said those who give provocative speeches must be put behind bars.

Several Congress leaders were present in the press meets.
