Kadri Fire Service Station Moved to New Location

Mangalore, Nov 2: Mr. Yogish Bhat, the MLA of Mangalore, inaugurated and handed over the fire service wing of the Kadri fire service station, which has been moved to a new location in the city. The construction of the new fire service building cost Rs. 146.20 crores. 








In his inaugural speech, Mr. Yogish Bhat said the fire service is now well-equipped with all modern facilities  and is fully capable of dealing with the various mishaps taking place in the city. Previously, the fire department couldn’t handle chemical-related mishaps owing to lack of facilities. Plans to further develop the fire station are afoot, he said. 

He also said that the district administration would take strict action against new buildings that lack national building code. Legal action will be taken against the owners of new structures that do not have the national code. 

District Commissioner Ponnuraj; IG of Western Range Gopal Hosur; SP Dr A S  Rao; President of Coastal Development Commission Nagaraj Shetty; and IGP of Karnataka Fire Service P S Sandoor were present during the inaugural of the new building.
