KPL 2015: Hubli Tigers thrash Mangalore United in Eliminator

Mysuru, Sep 18, 2015: In a lopsided contest, Hubli Tigers thrashed Mangalore United by 9 wickets in the Eliminator match of the Karnataka Premier League (KPL) 2015 here on Friday.
After restricting Mangalore to a paltry 101 all out in 20 overs, the Tigers roared to victory in 14.2 overs with the loss of just 1 wicket. Opener Mohammed Taha hit an unbeaten 58 off 43 balls.
Mangalore United struggled to get going after deciding to bat first. Not only did they lose wickets but they were also very slow and did not find easy runs. For their part, the Hubli Tigers bowlers were spot on and picked up three wickets in 10 overs as United reached the score of 43.
The Hubli Tigers will now face the loser of Qualifier 1 Belagavi Panthers in Qualifier 2 on Saturday.
