KPCC Chief D K Shivakumar arrives ; meets Bishop, Oscar Fernandes

Mangaluru, July 31, 2020: KPCC President D K Shivakumar was accorded a warm welcome by several Congress leaders on his arrival at the Mangaluru International Airport on July 31, Friday. This is Shivakumar’s first visit to the city after taking charge as KPCC Chief.
District Congress President Harish Kumar, District Youth Congress Chief Mithun Rai, MLA UT Khader, former minister Ramanatha Rai, former MLC Ivan D’Souza, former MLAs J R Lobo, Abhayachandra Jain and others received DK Shivakumar at the airport.
Later the KPCC Chief met Bishop of Mangaluru Diocese Dr Peter Paul Saldanha at Bishop House. The Bishop who felicitated Shivakumar on the occasion, wished DK Shivakumar success in all his endeavours.
Later Shivakumar met veteran Congress leader and former union minister Oscar Fernandes at his residence at Maryhill and enquired about his health.
Shivakumar is scheduled to hold a press conference later in the day. He will also visit Dharmasthala and meet Dharmadhikari Dr Veerendra Heggade.
