Mangalore Feb 27, 2016: Journalists boycotted the press meet called by Janardhana Poojary after a words of war between him and a journalist. The press meet was held at Congress office on Saturday, Feb 27.

Poojary intolarence

The words of war started when a reporter of The Hindu was stopped asking questions about the Poojary’s concern over CM’s watch.  He was asked to sit down preventing him to ask questions. All other journalist present in the venue rose in support of the journalist who was humiliated by Poojary. They walked out of the venue in protest.

Journalists strongly condemned the intolerance shown by Poojary, as this is not the first instance where Poojary humiliated a Journalist in press meets.

Earlier lashing at former chief minister H D Kumaraswamy, who leveled allegations against Siddaramaiah in connection with the Hublot watch, Poojary said the former chief minister and the son of former Prime Minister of India need to speak responsibly.

"You are a former chief minister and son of former Prime Minister Deve Gowda. Hence, you should speak with more responsibility. You prove all allegations made against Siddaramaiah. You said that the watch that Siddaramaiah wore was the one stolen from Dr Sudhakar Shetty of Kundapur. However, Dr Shetty himself has denied it and there nothing left to discuss about it. It is fair on part of a former chief minister to make false allegation against a chief minister just for political mileage," Poojary lambasted.
