Journalists Union submits memorandum to CM Bommai

Mangaluru, Oct 15, 2021: A delegation of the Dakshina Kannada District Working Journalists’ Union met Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai during the latter’s visit to the city on Wednesday and submitted a memorandum enlisting various demands of journalists including sanctioning of compensation for the family of journalist Yashwanth Aikala who succumbed to Covid infection.
The delegation was led by Journalists’ Union President Srinivas Nayak Indaje. Treasurer B N Pushparaj, Press Club President Annu Mangalore, Sukhpal Polali and others were present on the occasion. Even Mangaluru South MLA Vedavyas Kamath was present.
