After psychiatric treatment at Hospital, he was admitted to Snehalaya Psycho Social Rehabilitation Centre for men.

Sunatho’s parents are no more. His brothers had filed a missing case in a police station and they could not trace him all these years.

When there was no news from him for long, the family had assumed that he was no more. But the family had a pleasant surprise to learn that he was alive at a rehabilitation centre.

Even Sunatho wished to rejoin his family as he had become physically and mentally fit and finally united with his family, Joseph Crasta of Snehalaya said.

In another case, 47-year-old Dasharath, a native of Maharashtra’s Yavatmal district, was reunited with his family after 12 years.

The Snehalaya members saw him roaming in the streets of Hampankatta on January 16, 2015. After psychiatric treatment at Yenepoya Hospital, he was rehabilitated at Snehalaya Psycho Social Rehabilitation Centre. With the support and care of Snehalaya team, he became a normal person and was later sent to Shraddha Rehabilitation Foundation for Reunion with his family recently.
