Mangalore, Sep 23, 2014 : As per the CM’s direction, Janatha Darshan will be held in taluk headquarters on Wednesdays, starting from October 1. District-in-Charge Minister BRamanath Rai announced that the first Janatha Darshan of the district will be held at Belthangady on October 1.
The officials should ensure that the grievances are settled on the spot and in rare cases, time could be extended up to three months, till the next round of Janatha Darshan in a particular taluk, he instructed. Assistant commissioner of the respective taluk will be the nodal officer for the meeting, whereas the TP EO will be the assistant nodal officer. All the district officials including the deputy commissioner, zilla panchayat chief executive officer, superintendent of police, police commissioner, assistant commissioner, deputy directors and assistant directors of various departments will be present at Janatha Darshan. A grievance cell will be opened in all the meetings for people to submit their grievances.
