J R Lobo inaugurates two-day National Homoeopathic Conference

Mangaluru, Oct 10, 2015: Father Muller Homoeopathic Medical College (FMHMC), a unit of Father Muller Charitable Institutions, Mangaluru has organised a 2 day National Homoeopathic Conference 2015 on the 10th & 11th of October at FMHMC, Deralakatte.

 

 

The inaugural function for the conference was held on 10th of October at 9: 30 am at FMHMC , Deralakatte. J.R Lobo , MLA Mangalore South Constituency was the chief guest for the inaugural function. The other dignitaries were Fr. Patrick Rodrigues , Director, FMCI and the President of the National Conference 2015, Fr. Vincent Saldanha, Administrator , FMHMC & Hospital, Dr. Shivaprasad, Principal , FMHMC and Organising Chairman of the National Conference 2015 and Dr. Vilma D’Souza , HOD of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology and Organising Secretary of the National Conference 2015.

The principal, Dr Shivaprasad welcomed the gathering and emphasised on the aspect that to keep up with the globally changing trends, FMHMC has taken up the theme this yr on Research & Techniques in Gynaecological cancer and homoeopathic management for the National Conference 2015 to help the homeopathic fraternity to update themselves on this topic.

Mr J. R Lobo, MLA South Mangalore Constituency spoke on how doctors should have a heart and render services to the patients and to not commercialise medicine. He also focused on the fact that as Father Augustus Muller, the founder of Father Muller Charitable Institutions, who was from Germany had started rendering selfless service to the poor at Kanaknady  with homoeopathy medicines, the doctors should take him as a role model and be inspired to be like him.

The Administrator , Fr Vincent Saldanha , spoke on how homeopathy treatment is effective in treating advanced diseases as a curative, palliative and pain relieving treatment  and how this conference will help practitioners for the same.

The chief guest, J. R Lobo, MLA South Mangalore Constituency was felicitated by a memento presented by the Director , Rev. Fr, Patrick Rodrigues. Thereafter, the Director gave his message.  Father threw light on a statistical report he had come across, where in 6 European Countries, 40% of the cancer patients opted for complementary medicine. He said this conference is an encouragement to all doctors of modern and alternative system of medicine to work in collaboration for the betterment of the cancer patients.

The vote of thanks was delivered by Dr. Vilma D’Souza, HOD of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology and Organising Secretary of the National Conference 2015.
