Ivan D Souza urges PM Modi to end withdrawal limits

Mangaluru Dec 21, 2016: Chief Whip of Legislative Council Ivan D Souza urged Prime Minister Narendra Modi to end the withdrawal limits on bank account to benefit people during celebrations.

Addressing to the media on Wednesday December 21, he said that as the Christmas and New Year is nearing, the limit on withdrawal from bank account causes inconvenience to the people from celebrating New Year and Christmas.


He also said that, it has been 45 days ever since Modi announced the demonetization high value currencies, people are suffering due to the cash crunch which also restricted them from buying precious gifts on the eve of festivals this season. Due to the demonetization daily wage laborers are affected and it is impossible to imagine a street vendor to go with cashless system, said Ivan.


It is good to eradicate corruption but is it required to restrict in withdrawing and spending hardened money. Ivan also appealed PM to immediately permit to have liberty in withdrawing money from the bank account.


BJP are hatching conspiracy to destabilize Congress party which is impossible to deliver, if someone raises voice against BJP they will be labeled as Anti-Nationalism, he added.


PM Modi is known for his fake promises, earlier during his electoral promise to bring back black money stashed abroad through which the citizen will credited Rs 15 lakh in their bank accounts, so far how many citizens have received 15 lakh, he questioned.


Christmas Celebration

Ivan D Souza also informed that on December 22nd there will grand celebration of Christmas at Kankanady Market ground, which will be inaugurated by Former Minister Oscar Fernandes, District In Charge Minister Ramanath Rai, Minister for Food and Civil Supplies UT Khader, Mayor Harinath will grace the occasion.


The director of Father Muller Hospital Richard Coelho, President of Sayyed Madani Darga Rasheed Ullal, Prajapitha Brahmakumari Eshwariya Vishwavidyalaya Brahmakumari Vishweshwari will deliver speeches on this occasion. Nearly 5000 people are expected to join the celebration.
