International-level badminton and kabaddi indoor stadium to come up at Urva: MLA J R Lobo

Mangaluru, Jan 20, 2018 : International-level badminton and kabaddi indoor stadium  to come up in Urva, the state government has sanctionced Rs 6.50 crore for the project says MLA JR Lobo.

 

 

 

 

Addressing the media , Lobo  said  the state government approved 1.13 acre of land at Urwa for the construction of  International level indoor stadium, for which it has sanctioned Rs 6.5 crore so far. The  association had approached  with a proposal of constructing a new kabaddi and badminton indoor stadium in Mangaluru.

He said, the indoor stadium will consist of three floors with four synthetic courts each for kabaddi and badminton. A seating capacity for 1000 people comprising of cafeteria, gym, guest room, banquet hall, dining and lounge.

He aslo thanked the Minister for sports Pramod Madhwaraj and additional chief secretary of the sports department Rajaneesh Goyal for their motivation .

Sadananda Shetty-President of Kabbaddi association ,Venkatesh-President of Mangala Badminton Club, Santhosh Shetty and others were present.
