Inter-faith love marriage in rocks within a week

Mangalore, Oct 22, 2014: An inter-faith love marriage between a Christian girl and a Hindu youth which was held at Arya Samaj in Mangalore on October 16 amid opposition from the girl’s parents, is in rocks within just a week of their marriage which had received much media glare.

In a sudden twist to the case, the girl has lodged a complaint with the Konaje police against her husband alleging that he had forced her to marry.

Sonia Vivita D’Souza(23) of Eliyarpadavu and Roshan MS (24) who were in love with each other since three years had recently tied the knot amid all odds even after the girl’s parents had lodged a case of missing.

However, the newly wed woman has now returned to her parent’s house saying she can no longer lead a life with Roshan. In her complaint she has alleged that Roshan and five others had kidnapped her and forcibly got her married to Roshan at Arya Samaj.

Konaje police who have registered a case against Roshan are conducting investigations.
