Mangaluru, May 10, 2016: Members of the GSB community cannot tolerate any injustice and insult to the Sri Kashi Mutt Samsthan and its revered Swamiji and should fight against this, said Koteshwar Sridhar Kamath, a leader of the community.
He was addressing a meeting convened at the Konchady Shree Venkatramana Temple on May 9, Monday evening to discuss the course of events and the confusion that prevailed following some purported false information regarding investigations into the RTI activist Vinayak Baliga murder case.
Pandit Narasimha Acharya, Priest of Sri Venkatramana Temple, Mangaluru, said some members from within the community have themselves tried to tarnish the image of the community. There is a need to exercise caution against this, he added. Ha also made it clear that there have been no irregularities during the renovation of the shrine and during the Punah Pratishta Mahotsava. No GSB organisation is involved in the murder case, he clarified.
When Hanumanth Kamath said members should take to the streets, advocate Satish Bhat said holding protest would not be the right move at this moment.
Ratnaker Kamath, Member of the Konchady Shree Venkatramana Temple Committee said the family of Vinayak Baliga should no doubt get justice, but it was not proper to link the incident to Kashi Mutt and defame the institution. Stating that some evil forces were behind such rumours, he said such forces are aimed at dividing the society which should not be allowed.

These people are unnecessarily fighting among themselves. There is no importance for life. Forget about everything and jut think if the situation faced by Baliga’s family would be faced by anyone of you . How would you people respond to it.

If they the GSB’s are really innocent in the case related to Vinayak Baliga’s murder what is the need to respond? Leave the rest to the police. Never support the wrong.

We have to be unbiased in our judgement. Never support on the bases of community. |
