Institution Day celebrated to mark centenary of St Sebastian Church, Permannur

Mangaluru, Jan 20, 2018: Retired headmasters  who served the St Sebastian institutions were honoured on the occasion of Institution Day celebrated at St Sebastian Church grounds on January 19, Friday  as part of the centenary celebration of St Sebastian Church, Permannur. Dr Francis Serrao, Bishop of Shivamogga Diocese  inaugurated the celebration.

In his address, the Bishop hailed the services rendered by the St Sebastian institutions by offering quality education. Dr J B Saldanha, Parish Priest of the Church described the centenary fete as a divine blessing.

 Fr Gerald D’Souza, Secretary, Catholic Board of education, Y Shivaramaiah, DDPI,  M P Jnanesh, Block Education Officer,  Sr Cecilia Mendonca, Provincial Superior, Bethany Sisters, Sr Rita Vaz of Ursuline sisters, Melvin D’Souza, Vice President, Church Administrative Council,  Edwin Mascarenhas, Principal, Joslin D’Souza, Secretary and many others were present.
