Mangaluru, Oct 10, 2017: The Police Establishment Board (PEB) of the Karnataka Police on October 9, Monday posted 32 probationary sub-inspectors (PSI) to regular police stations across the western range.
Headed by IG Hemant Nimbalkar, the board that consists of superintendents of police of four districts directed the PSIs who have completed the probationary training to report to their posting forthwith.
Describing the postings as a move to infuse fresh blood into policing in the four districts - Udupi, Dakshina Kannada, Uttara Kannada and Chikkamagaluru - Nimbalkar told media that it was an attempt to increase the focus on law and order in these districts.
"Each of these probationers have fresh ideas and enthusiasm and the PEB felt it prudent to test them by putting them in-charge of law and order police stations," he said.
Stressing the seriousness of the postings, the order passed by Nimbalkar directs the PSIs not to avail the joining leave and report to places indicated against their names without any delay.
