Infighting, factionalism in Congress led to Hephsiba transfer: Monappa Bhandary

 Mangaluru, June 14, 2015: The DK District unit of the BJP has alleged that   Hephsiba Rani Korlapati who was serving as MCC Commissioner efficiently has been transferred owing to infighting and factionalism in  the Congress.

Speaking to reporters at the party office here on June 13, Saturday, former MLC Monappa Bhandary demanded that Hephsiba be either reinstated or an able officer appointed in her place immediately. Continuing, he alleged that  the Commissioner was transferred as she failed to heed to the demand of the Mangaluru North MLA to Moidin Bava  to release around Rs 3 crore grant without any sanction or budget estimate. Bhandary demanded that the amount should not be released for any reason.

Bhandary further questioned  why Hephsiba was transferred when senior leader Janardhana Poojary had himself  described her as an efficient officer.

Sudhir Shetty Kannur, Opposition leader in MCC said the Hephsiba issue has revealed that there is no place for honest officers under Congress rule.

District Spokesperson  K Jayaram Shetty, District BJP President Pratap Simha Nayak, Corporators Premanand Shetty, Vijay Kumar Shetty, Prabha Malini and others were present.
