Mangaluru, Jan 13, 2016: The Infant Jesus Shrine at  Carmel Hill, Bikarnakatte in Mangaluru is all set for  the annual feast of Infant Jesus. It has been holding the nine-day novena  in preparation of the feast since January 5.

Thousands of people have been attending the well arranged prayer programmes. Thousands were fed a good veg meal every day - Anna santharpane. On Jan 14, there will be masses throughout the day too. Archbishop of Bhopal Rev Leo Cornelio will preside over the Eucharistic festal mass with Rev Fr Charles Serrao, provincial OCD and other priests at 6 pm.

 At the Shrine Thursday is a special day of the week all throught the year.

The chapel managed by the Carmelite Fathers was built in 1947. The shrine presently used,  was constructed and inaugurated by then Bishop of Mangalore Rev Fr Basil D’Souza on May 11, 1996.   This shrine is now famous and devotees of all classes throng all through the year.  The atmosphere at the shrine is one of peace and holiness. The slogan of Infant Jesus, "The more you honor Me the more will I bless you".
