Udupi, Jan 20, 2016: India needs entrepreneurship through Start-ups and large business contacts for the growth of the economy, said Suresh Babu, Union Railway Minister.
Participating in an interactive programme organised by the Udupi Chamber of Commerce and Industry and District Small Industr ies Association at Count ry Inn, Manipal on January 19, Tuesday, he said the Start-Up India initiative by Prime Minister Narendra Modi would open up the doors of opportunities to young entrepreneurs. The government is trying its level best to create a favourable environment for business growth, he further added.
Continuing, the Minister said India needed better tax administration to be among the top nations offering best infrastrucutre for the business sector.
Giving details of the various upcoming projects of the railways, he said all out efforts were being made to make the functioning of the Railway Department more transparent . He also promised that Indian Railways would be the best among public sector undertakings in the next ten years. He also spoke about the high speed trains which would be introduced in future with help from China."As part of Make In India Programme, projects worth nearly Rs one lakh crore will be started," he further added.
Udupi Chamber of Commerce President Kodancha Rao, Shobha Karandlaje, MP, Raghupathi Bhat, former MLA, M CHittaranjan Bhat, President of District Small Industries Association and others were present.
India needs a growth and development in the overall infrastructure. We see most of the industries have shut down as they cannot maintain the expenses and the unlimited liability have forced them to do so.
These proposals are to implemented seriously.The growth of economy plays av ital role in the development of the nation.
