IGP to personally monitor security arrangements in Bantwal

Bantwal, June 22,2017 :Western Range IGP Harishekharan has said that he would personally supervise  the security  arrangements in Bantwal area  in the wake of the recent untoward incidents in Kalladka and other places.

IGPSpeaking to reporters at the Town Police Station on June 21, Wednesday, the IGP also warned of invoking Goonda Act against anyone found in possession of arms during police inspection.

He further stated that the police will keep a strict watch and have also set up barricades  at strategic locations.

 While admitting that the recent untoward incidents have been a challenge to the Department he reiterated that no scope would be given for such incidents in the future.

The IGP requested the public not to view each and every incident from the communal point of view and also not to pay heed to rumours.

The police have to act on tip and bring the situation to normal , as the public are much effected by such.
