Mangaluru, Oct 28, 2019: "How can one expect development from a government which is unable to provide flood relief and is saying the state coffers are empty," questioned senior Congress leader and former minister Ramanatha Rai.
Speaking to reporters at the Congress office on October 28, Monday he said the state as well as the city had witnessed much development during the rule of the Congress.
The senior Congress leader also enlisted the various developmental works taken up during the previous rule of the Congress in the Mangaluru City Corporation and urged the electorate to support the Congress for development as well as harmony.
He said the Congress was presently busy with the process of preparing the list of candidates for the upcoming elections. While giving opportunities for new faces, seniors who have contributed much will also be considered. The list will soon be out, he added.
Party leaders Ibrahim Kodijal, Shashidhar Hegde, Vishwas Das and others were present.
