Historic Koti Chennaya Jodukare Kambala rekindles folk glory

Puttur, March 5, 2013 : The historic Koti Chennaya Jodukare Kambala was held at the Devamaru fields here on March 3, Sunday in the presence of hundreds of Kambala enthusiasts.

This is the 21^st year of the Kambala which is being organised by Jaya Karnataka organization led by N Muttappa Rai. Nearly 140 pairs of buffaloes took part in the event this time.

N Achyutha Moodittaya, Organizing Committee President of Puttur Mahalingeshwara temple, inaugurated the event. Savanoor Seetharam Rai, Correspondent of Vidyarashmi Educational Institution, presided over the function.

Outstanding achievers namely Vinnu Vishwanath Shetty, Ramesh Kalladka, RBI director Naveen Bhandary, Bharath Sanman Award winner Harish Rai Kaniyoor and talented actress Anushka Shetty were felicitated on the occasion.

Kambala committee convener S Sudhakar Shetty, Kambala Committee President N Chandrahasa Shetty, SCDCC Bank Chairman M N Rajendra Kumar,DK KMF Director S B Jayaram Rai and others were present.
