At the same time he pointed out how the police had jailed an accused in a case of attack on a church  for hurting religious sentiments, while no action is taken against cattle traffickers who transport cattle to butcheries. This too hurts the religious sentiments of Hindus, he said.

Pai further said the   Deputy Commissioner led Society for  Prevention of Cruelty to Animals has not met  since past two years, as per the information gathered from an RTI query.

VHP District President Jagadish Shenava, Pradeep Pumpwell, Gopal Kuttar, Bhajrangdal leaders and others were present.

Just take note who are selling the cattle to the butcher’s . Some people sell their old cattle to them as it is useless and cannot yield in the farm.
