In Alevooru, houses and fields belonging to Muddappa Karkera, Leela Shedthi, Sudhakar Acharya, Vasudev Acharya, Vittal Bhat, and others were flooded causing heavy damages. In Dendoor, 10 houses have been flooded.

Sunder Shetty, one of the residents of the flooded areas, said that the people of the region are used to floods, but owing to the construction of dams, the water does not flow smoothly and trash gets collected leading to floods of greater intensity. He said that the people had no fear of floods in the past even when it rained continuously for several days.

Speaking on the occasion, Sachin Poojary said that the cow sheds are filled with water, adding that the villagers have no place to shelter their cattle. He said that there was vacant land to provide shelter to cows and buffalos in the past, but now buildings have come up everywhere and there is no place for the cattle.
