Though the works of constructing a side drain  had commenced near Rao and Rao Circle about a month ago, it was suspended half way through. Meanwhile, the heaps of mud piled up on the road side have landed right inside the drain during the heavy rains resulting in clogging of drains.

Several businessmen of the area have submitted a memorandum to the MCC officials  on June 3, Friday explaining their problem and also deploring the apathy of the authorities. They have also sought remedial measures at the earliest.

In monsoons the city faces the worst as most pf the roads are flooded due to bad drainage system .The rain water doesn’t flow properly into the gutter. The local MLA’s and MP’s have not taken any initiative. Hope they are upto their words from now on atleast.
