Mangalore, Oct 28, 2011: A special heath care camp, including free health insurance for BPL card holders, free cataract test and treatment, free embryo and breast cancer check up, and free registration for blood and eye donation, was held in Town Hall on Oct 28 Friday by the Lions and Lioness Club of Mangalore, Shri Gurudeva Public Charitable Trust (regd) of Odiyoor, Rotary Club of Mangalore, Justice K. S. Hegde Charitable Hospital, and Mobile Eye Hospital of Wenlock and KMC.

Doctors from all over DK spoke on the importance of eye and blood donation, and a register of people willing to donate their eyes was also created for future reference. 


Delivering the inaugural address, Shri Gurudevananda Swamiji of Shri Gurudevadatta Samsthanam of Odiyoor spoke of the importance of serving the needy. 


Speaking on the occasion, Ln P. Kishore Rao spoke of the services rendered by Lions International. 


Ln M. J. F. Suresh Rai, Ln Dr. Jayaram Shetty, Rtn Dr. Vijay Pai, and Dr. Bhavani Shankar were also present.
