Head-on collision between two bikes leave 3 dead; 2 injured

Karkala, May 09, 2016: Three persons lost their lives and two others sustained  injuries, one of them seriously in a head-on collision between two bikes at Shirlalu Paduvettu near Ajekar on May 8, Sunday afternoon.

The deceased are  Santhosh (23), Dinesh (18) from Naravi and Praveen (32) from Andaru. The injured are Sunder and  11 year old Vighnesh.

The mishap took place when Dinesh and Santosh were heading towards Kutloor from Hebri  after attending a  wedding. Meanwhile, Sunder, Vighnesh and Praveen were in the other bike carrying  food items for a house warming ceremony scheduled on Monday.
Eyewitnesses said both bikes were moving at great  speed. Moreover the bike riders and pillion riders were also not wearing helmets.

Senior Police Officials including ASP Sumana D P , Circle Inspector G M Naikar and others visited the spot.

Firstly they haven’t worn the helmets. We have to follow the traffic rules for our safety. See them lying dead dying a dog’s death. May your eternal soul rest in peace.
