Govt mulling Cyber Crime analysis wing in the State: DGP

Mangalore, April 7, 2015: The Karnataka government has given thought for forming separate wing for analysis of cyber crimes following spurt in different varieties of cyber crimes reported including international financial cheating through internet and mobile devises.
 
The modalities yet to be chalked out, Director General and Inspector General of Police (DG&IGP), Om Prakash said briefing reporters after launching  Mangalore City Police website and mobile App here on Tuesday April 7,2015.

The mobile App will be available for download for the use of general public from Android App download flat forms, officials informed.

Replying a question, DGP told that as per regulations health facilities could not be provided to retired police personnel. But, department has formed a human resource management team to look into the matters and demands of retired also.

Western Range IGP Amrit Paul, Managaluru City Police Commissioner S.Murugan, DCP Suresh Babu(L&O), Superindent of Police of Dakshina Kannada Dr.Sharanappa, DCP (crime & traffic) Vishnuvardhan, Bantwal ASP Rahul and others were present.
