Mangaluru, Nov 6, 2014 : Capt. Ganesh Karnik, MLC has accused the Congress Government in the state of falsely booking activists of Hindu groups under Goonda Act out of political rivalry. He also warned of a protest by the BJP if the Police Department failed to withdraw the false cases and repeated such acts in the future.
Addressing press persons at the District BJP office here on November 5, Wednesday, Capt. He also expressed his party’s displeasure over the invoking of Goonda act against Manoj of Kodikere. He said the Hosabettu corporator Pratibha Kulai had some time back levelled false allegations that she was attacked and molested by some Hindu activists.
On the Nanditha death case, Capt Karnik said the BJP strongly favoured a CBI probe as the family of the deceased girl too is not happy with the current CID investigation into the case ordered by the state government.
