Puttur: August 10, 2015:  Four people involved in a robbery of cash and Gold worth 2 lakh from a house in , Koornadka were arrested by the police.

The accused has been identified as Anusha (19), daughter of Narase Gowda from Tumkur district , Sumitra (40) from Hassan district, Girish and Gopinath from Sakleshpur.

On July 27, a theft had taken place at a house of Businessman A B Viegas. He had filed a complaint at the police station. Based on the complaint the police investigated and arrested 4 people.

It is learnt that Anusha and Sumithra were working as a maid for about two months in house of Viegas. Taking the help of their friends, they made away with two bangles, two chains and Rs 5000 cash.

After the theft the two women sold a part of a loot at a jewellery shop in Puttur and Pledge it at Mutoot finance and borrowed Rs. 70,000.

The police have seized all the stolen items. The accused were produced in court.

Thank God they didn’t harm any one due to greed for money.Its very risky to keep a maid at home. We should learn their details before appointing them.
