Gas leakage from toppled LPG tanker sparks panic, residents evacuated

Kundapur, Oct 02, 2016: Toppled fully loaded LPG gas tanker create panic among locals on National Highway66 near Gunavanthe in Kundapur on October 02, Sunday. The residents near the area were evacuated from the place as a precaution after the incident.

The driver of the tanker lost control over the heavy vehicle and it turned turtle on the high way..


The accident resulted in leakage of gas and created panic among the locals. However, there were no casualities reported.

The traffic in the region was snarled for two hours. Police and the fire brigade personnel reached the spot in time and the situation is under control.

The Company before hiring the drivers for the tankers have to train them well. The vehicle doesn’t topple e by itself , Usually due to speed the vechle goes out of control
