Gang barges into house at Suratkal, attacks 5 occupants

Mangaluru, Feb 2, 2016 : Five persons belonging to a family at Janatha Colony near Suratkal had to be hospitalised after a group of assailants barged into the house and attacked them on February 1, Monday night.

The injured namely Madhava Poojary (45), Anil (25), Shivaraja Ganiga (19), Madhu (20) and Janaki (50) have been admitted to Padmavathi Hospital in Suratkal. The incident occurred at around 9 pm.

The motive behind the attack is not known. Even the assailants have not yet been identified.

Suratkal Police have registered a case and are investigating. Meanwhile, as a precautionary measure, police and KSRP personnel have been deployed around the house.
