Forum to hold mega rally on August 9 demanding Justice for Kavya

Mangaluru, Aug 3,2017 : A mega rally seeking Justice for Kavya will be take out in the city from Ambedkar Circle to the DC office on August 9. A mass protest will also be held in front of the DC office under the aegis of Justice for Kavya Forum. As many as 30 organisations have come together  in the fight for  the cause.

This was informed to reporters here on August 9, Thursday by Anil Das, Convenor of the Forum. He said that the police have still not succeeded in giving a clear-cut information regarding the reasons that led to the death of Kavya.

He said on August 9  various organisations will also submit a memorandum to the Deputy Commissioner seeking a thorough probe into the case.

He also made it clear that this was not a fight against any institution but a fight for a proper probe into the case.

Forum Member Dinaker Shetty said the Forum was in no way responsible for the abusive comments being circulated in social media. He said the Forum wants justice and compensation to Kavya’s family.

Robert Rosario, social worker  who also spoke said "Kavya’s mother fainted after  an elaborate questioning by the ACP who had been to their residence. The FIR and post mortem report too have  not been given to the family giving rise to suspicions."

Forum members Vijayashree,  B F Pinto, Praveen Bangera and Vishnumurthy were also present.
