Former GP Chief attacked by assailants at Kulshekhar

Mangaluru, Oct 13, 2020: Former president of Ulaibettu Gram Panchayat and former member of Mangaluru Taluk Panchayat Yusuf was attacked by a gang of assailants near Kulshekhar on Monday evening. An injured Yusuf has been admitted to a private hospital in the city.
The attack took place when Yusuf was on way to Ulaibettu in his car. It is said as his car approached Kulshekhar, a bike rammed into his car from behind. When Yusuf stopped his car and questioned the bike rider, the latter apologised. However, by then a white colour car stopped in front of Yusuf’s car and four men who stepped out of that car attacked Yusuf with a machete, broke his car window panes and fled the place.
A complaint has been lodged at Kankanady Rural Police Station.
