Mangaluru, Feb 28, 2017 : Senior Congress leader B Janardhana Poojary has asked all political parties to forget the ’diary’ issue and divert attention towards mitigating the hardships faced due to drought condition.
Speaking to reporters here on February 28, Monday, Poojary said presently the ’diary’ said to be having details regarding the kickbacks provided by Congress ministers to high command, was making news, while none is bothered about the drought conditions. "Former PM Deve Gowda had shed tears on knowing about the plight of drought hit places. Let the government clarify on the drought relief measures taken by it," he demanded.
Poojary said he welcomed CM’s media advisor’s comments that those whose names were mentioned in the diary have to resign. "The BJP men are talking about the kickbacks from state Congress leaders to the Congress high command. Let them reveal how much money has gone from Karnataka to the PM," he said.
On Food and Civil Supplies Minister UT Khader’s ’Chappal’ remarks, Poojary said it was heights of foolishness on his part. "Everyone has the right to protest. I had advised Khader to be cautious while making statements. He makes such statements and then he says he is my Shishya," said Poojary.
