Mangalore, Oct 28, 2011 : Wolfram Wintzer of Germany and Jacintha of Australia got married at Panambur Beach according to Hindu traditions on Oct 27 Thursday.

The newly weds shared their fascination for Mangalore, especially the picturesque beach of Mangalore. The wedding rituals were performed by a priest in a small structure constructed in front of the beach. The groom wore a white kurta and a traditional peta while the bride gorgeous saree. 

The couple said that they had always been fascinated with the Hindu marriage ceremony and believed that Hindu marriages are long lasting, owing to which they decided to get married the Hindu way. They had gotten in touch with Yathish Baikampady, the CEO of Panambur Beach Tourism Development Project, through their friends Dr. Harish Parala and Anajandevi, a scientist couple in Germany, and had expressed their desire to get married according to Hindu rites. 


A number of local people were invited to this wedding, and a total of 80 people were present. The ceremony commenced at 5:30 p.m. and ended at 7:30 p.m.
