Bantwal, May 27,2017 : The town of Kalladka is observing a forced bundh on May 27, Saturday following Friday’s incident of stabbing a youth who was returning home after Friday prayers at a mosque.
It has been reported that a group of youth forced shopkeepers to shut down to protest against the incident.
Meanwhile, there was a minor fracas between youth of two different communities following which there was stone pelting. The situation was soon brought under control by the Police.
A large number of police personnel are deployed in the area to prevent any untoward incident
It may be recalled here that Mohammad Hashir of Kalladka was stabbed by a group of three on Friday afternoon. The assailants identified as Mithun, Amith and Yathin had arrived by a car and had fled soon after attacking Hashir.
A stone pelting incident reported on Friday following the attack has left another youth injured.
