Mangaluru, Nov 25, 2015 :  A five-day exhibition of cotton and silk products that began at St. Aloysius Pre-University College Hall on Nov 24.  Kanjeevarams, crepe silks, Dharmavaram saris, Pochampally silks, Benaras broacades and traditional silk specials of Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, Maharashtra, Uttar Pradesh and Gujarat are on display.

Also, Coimbatore cottons, Pune and Nagpur cottons of Maharashtra, Sambalpuri cottons of Odisha, Manipuri cottons are some of the traditional handloom woven cotton varieties on display.  In addition, the exhibition features Bandhej and Kutch embroidery of Gujarat, block and Dabu prints of Rajasthan, Batiks of Madhya Pradesh, and Kantha and block prints of West Bengal.

The exhibition, will be open until November 28, also showcases bed spreads, chudidars and other handloom products.    The exhibition, open from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., has been organised to arrange a direct market link between weavers and customers, a release said.

The Aloysius Pre- University will be crowded from 28 November for sure . The women never compromise with their dressing. They love to wear a variety of sarees and dresses. they want to look attractive and unique. This exhibition is best suited for the working as they go out frequently.
