First ‘India’s Best Mommy Group 2017’ Award for ’Moms of Mangaluru’

Mangaluru, April 10, 2017: According to reports,  MOM, Moms of Mangalore, a Facebook group dedicated to the mothers of the region, a group which has been involved in various social causes and events to promote and encourage mothers has won the inaugural ‘India’s Best Mommy Group 2017’ award.

This competition was hosted by ‘World of Moms’ and ‘Firstcry.com’ and was open to Mommy groups from all over the country. With hundreds of entries from various cities and towns, a list of final eleven was decided upon with ‘Moms of Mangalore’ being one among them.

The short listing was done on the basis of group activity, member count and causes. Among the finalists, MOM was chosen to be the winner based on the aforementioned criteria and votes. It is a very proud moment for the members of this group and Mangalore which the group represents, as with every other field of excellence, time and again Mangaloreans have shown that they can excel no matter what.

MOM is a non profit, non religious and non political group. As a part of the group’s initiative, they have a panel of doctors who are selflessly responding to queries from the members. Children psychologists, counselors, nutritionists, health support groups, advocates, lactation specialist, contests, mass child immunization reminders, parenting tips, women health tips published by our doctors, Mompreneur Mondays (forum for Mothers to display their entrepreneurial skills via posts on their businesses) are some other initiatives of the group. Mothers are encouraged to join this group and make full use of the resources on the group.
