Mangaluru, Sep 20, 2018: The recently released Rishab Shetty film “Sarakari Hiriya Prathamika Shaale Kasaragod, Koduge Rammana Rai”, Tulu film “Paddayi” and the popular “Oriyardori Asal” will be among the films to be screened during the three-day regional language film festival at St. Aloysius College’s L.F. Rasquinha Air Conditioned Auditorium here between September 21 and 23.

The film festival is being organised by the college in association with Karnataka Chalanacitra Academy. As many as nine films from Kannada, Tulu, Konkani, Kodava and Banjara languages will be screened during the festival, convenor of the film festival N. Damodar Shetty told reporters here on Wednesday.

The film festival will start with the screening of “Oriyardori Asal” of Vijaykumar Kodailbail at 9.30 a.m. The award-winning Beary film “Byari” of Suveeran will be screened at noon, followed by Kannada film “Sarakari Hiriya Prathamika Shaale Kasaragod, Koduge Rammana Rai” at 5 p.m.

On the second day, “Chali Polilu” will be screened at 9.30 a.m., followed by Konkani movie “Ujjwadu” of Kasaragod Chinna at noon and Kodava film “Talang Neer” of Gopi Penya at 2.30 p.m. On September 23, Tulu film “Bangarda Patler” of Richard Castelino will be screened at 9.30 a.m., followed by Banaja film “Konjavaram” of Umesh Nayak at noon and Tulu film “Paddayi” of Abhaya Simha at 2.30 p.m.

The festival will be inaugurated by Minister in-charge of the district U.T. Khader.
